Generation runs in the background and survives a closed tab
Each job runs in a detached process, with WP-Cron as a fallback and a watchdog that restarts stalled work. Close the tab and the article keeps writing; the progress screen reattaches when you return.
Images work the same way: a featured image plus a set number of inline images in your chosen visual style. Each lands in the media library with a title and alt text, after the section it illustrates.
Set a schedule, and it finds its own topics
Set a cadence, a publishing window and a weekly cap, then choose drafts for review or direct publishing. When the queue runs low, autopilot refills it from your brand context and skips topics the site already covers.

I already run AnswerRank Auto AEO. How do I move to Rank Monkey?
Install Rank Monkey from the WordPress directory, confirm it works, then deactivate and delete AnswerRank Auto AEO. The rename changed the plugin folder, so keeping both active would run two copies of the scheduler. Keys, context profiles, the topic queue and articles live outside the plugin folder, so they carry over and survive deleting the old plugin.
Is the Rank Monkey plugin free?
Yes. Rank Monkey is free and licensed GPLv2, with no subscription or per-article fee. You pay OpenRouter and fal.ai directly for what you use.
Does it work with Yoast SEO or Rank Math?
Yes. Meta titles and descriptions go into Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress, The SEO Framework or Slim SEO, whichever is active. When one is running, Rank Monkey drops its own Article schema so pages never ship two graphs.
Will Google penalize the articles as AI content?
Google's guidance targets unhelpful content, not the tool that wrote it. Rank Monkey drafts researched, sourced, honestly attributed articles, and we recommend reviewing each draft before it ships.
Do I need an AnswerRank account?
No. The plugin writes without one; connecting an account feeds the questions where AI assistants skip you into the topic queue.
